The Continuing Education & Professional Support Program provides ongoing access to expert-led training, 24 TEAM Case Consultations annually, professional resources, and emerging best practices designed to strengthen your effectiveness and confidence when working with complex hoarding situations.
Participants receive continuing education opportunities, practical implementation support, and access to a growing network of professionals committed to improving outcomes for individuals, families, agencies, and communities affected by hoarding.
This program also serves as the certificate maintenance pathway for holders
of the
Professional Certificate in Community Hoarding Intervention
and the
Certificate in Community Hoarding Response,
providing the ongoing education, consultation, and support
needed to maintain certification and stay current with evolving best practices.

All content, resources, recordings, registration links, and consultation information
are available exclusively to
active Continuing Education & Professional Support Program members
who have successfully completed the criteria for the
Professional Certificate in Community Hoarding Interventionor the
Certificate in Community Hoarding Response
and the
Continuing Education & Support Program Orientation and Access Course.
Members receive unlimited access to a growing library of advanced continuing education courses delivered by our team of expert trainers and guest specialists. These trainings provide deeper exploration of key topics, practical tools, emerging best practices, and innovative approaches to managing complex hoarding situations.
The program also includes access to 24 TEAM Case Consultation opportunities annually, facilitated by our expert trainers and consultants. These consultations provide real-time guidance, collaborative problem-solving, multidisciplinary perspectives, and practical support for challenging cases. Additional consultation opportunities may be added throughout the year to accommodate participant demand.
Courses are flexible and non-linear, allowing participants to select the topics most relevant to their work and attend live or access recorded content at their convenience. This flexible format supports professionals with varying schedules, responsibilities, and learning needs.
The Continuing Education & Professional Support Program serves as the ongoing education, consultation, and certificate maintenance component of the Professional Certificate in Community Hoarding Intervention and the Certificate in Community Hoarding Response. Participants remain connected to current research, evolving best practices, expert guidance, and a national network of professionals committed to improving outcomes for individuals, families, agencies, and communities affected by hoarding.

Requirements for Maintaining Certification
Beginning in the second year of certification, certificate holders maintain their Professional Certificate in Community Hoarding Intervention by completing the following annual requirements:
- Maintain an active Continuing Education & Support Program membership. ($600 annually)
- Complete 10 Continuing Education Contact Hours during each 12-month membership period. Participants may select the courses most relevant to their professional role, interests, and learning needs.
- Complete the 2-Hour Annual Certificate Update & Refresher Course during the final quarter of the membership year.
- Strongly Recommended (Not Required): Attend at least two TEAM Case Consultations annually, even when you do not have an active case to present. Participation helps professionals stay current with emerging challenges, multidisciplinary perspectives, best practices, and practical problem-solving approaches.
Completion of these requirements is necessary to maintain certification and continue receiving the benefits of the Continuing Education & Professional Support Program. These requirements are designed to ensure certificate holders remain current with evolving best practices while continuing to build expertise in the assessment and management of complex hoarding situations.
